This cup is made from 153 pieces of 4 different species of wood, including: Red Oak, Angelique, Maple, and Lacewood.

It stands 6.25 inches tall and is 3.75 inches wide.

Its intended purpose is for drying washed chopsticks on the counter.  It would also make a fine pencil and pen holder.

This includes four Red Oak button plugs on the bottom to raise the cup up and allow air flow.  The inside, bottom is curved downward toward the middle and has a series of angled holes drilled into it to help drain water away from chopsticks, allowing them to dry.  We use something similar I made my wife in our home, and it doubles as a chopstick storage container.

The piece is signed by the artist on the bottom with pyography and finished in Dr. Ray's Genuine Bee Oil, a completely food-safe mixture of beeswax and mineral oil.
