FOGwood Natural Edge Wood turned Mushroom
 
This FOGwood natural edge toadstool was made from some cut-offs from a friend's yard.   This one is about 4.5" high and 3" wide, with a beautiful dark heartwood color.
 
FOGwood is a very common wood, found worldwide.  (FOG stands for "Found-On-Ground", and is an undetermined species.)
 
All splits have been stabilized with CA glue.  This piece is signed by the artist with pyography and finished in Dr. Ray's Genuine Bee Oil, a completely food-safe mixture of beeswax and mineral oil.
